Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
In short: we use your details and location to send a technician to you and run the service. We share them only with the people and companies needed to do that (your technician, a workshop you choose, payment and messaging providers). We never sell your data. You can ask to see, correct or delete it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Loginn Web Services (RC 7160614), Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, operates RoadxideNow and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact our data protection contact at enquiry@loginnwebservice.com. This policy follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
2. What we collect
Customers
- Name, phone number and/or email, and a password (stored only in scrambled, "hashed" form).
- Your vehicle's location when you request help, the address or directions you type, and the spot you confirm on the map.
- Answers to the service questions (for example the vehicle type or tyre size), photos you choose to add, and the name and phone of someone meeting the technician if you give them.
- Payment records: amounts, status and Paystack references. Card details are handled by Paystack; we never see or store your card number.
- Messages with your technician, ratings, support requests, and a push-notification token if you turn notifications on.
- Optional profile photo.
Technicians
- Name, phone, email, profile photo, and your National Identification Number (NIN). Your NIN is stored encrypted; only its last 4 digits are normally shown, and every time an admin views the full NIN it is recorded.
- If you do car lockouts: your police clearance certificate. It is stored privately, only RoadxideNow staff who approve technicians can open it, and every time it is opened is recorded. We use it only to decide whether you can receive lockout jobs.
- Your location while you are online or on a job, so we can offer you nearby jobs and show customers that you are on the way.
- Bank account for payouts (stored encrypted), earnings and payout history, ratings and job history.
Partner workshops
- Business name, contact person, phone, email, address and location, services offered, and subscription payments.
Everyone
- Technical records needed for security, such as sign-in attempts and the IP address they came from.
3. Why we use it (and our legal basis)
- To provide the service you asked for (performing our contract with you): finding and dispatching a technician, guiding them to you, taking payment, paying technicians, handling cancellations and refunds, and support.
- For safety and to prevent fraud (legitimate interests and legal obligations): verifying technicians' identity, checking vehicle ownership for lockouts, limiting repeated sign-in attempts, and keeping records of admin actions.
- To keep financial records (legal obligation) as required by Nigerian tax and accounting law.
- Push notifications (your consent): only if you turn them on. You can turn them off in Settings at any time.
- To improve RoadxideNow (legitimate interests), using job and service statistics.
4. Who we share it with
- Your technician: your first name, the vehicle location and directions, your answers and photos, and (once they accept the job) your phone number and the on-site contact you gave.
- The workshop you choose as a tow drop-off: your name, phone number, vehicle details and pickup location, sent by SMS so they expect your vehicle. This happens only if you choose a workshop, and the app tells you before you book.
- Customers see their technician's name, photo, rating and progress to the job.
- Service providers that run RoadxideNow for us: Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage), Paystack (card payments, refunds and technician payouts), Termii (SMS to workshops), Expo, Google and Apple (push notifications), and Google Maps or OpenStreetMap (address search and maps). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
5. Data outside Nigeria
Some of our providers store or process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards the NDPA allows, such as the provider's contractual commitments to protect your data.
6. How long we keep it
- Account details: while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your details, except what we must keep.
- Job, payment, refund and payout records: for as long as Nigerian tax and accounting law requires.
- Photos uploaded but never attached to a request are deleted automatically after about a day.
- Security logs: for as long as needed to protect the service.
7. How we protect it
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed; NINs, bank account numbers and authenticator secrets are encrypted. Admin access requires two-step sign-in, admins only see the sections they need, and admin actions are logged.
8. Your rights
Under the NDPA you can ask to: see the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; receive a copy in a common format; and withdraw consent (for example to push notifications). Email enquiry@loginnwebservice.com. We reply within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
9. Location
Customers: we use your location only when you tap Find me or confirm a spot for a request. Technicians: we use your location while you are online or on a job; go offline to stop it.
10. Children
RoadxideNow is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
We will update this policy when our service changes, show the new date at the top, and tell you in the app about important changes.
